Scott actually makes a comment about having to wear a hat and sunglasses to conceal his identity. This is an ongoing joke for a lot of fans, because many other superheroes have relied on simple disguises like this one to conceal their identity for years. One of the most notable heroes that fits this is DC’s Superman who essentially only wears a pair of flimsy glasses to conceal his identity. In Marvel, many other characters rely on this, including Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, Winter Soldier, Scarlet Witch, Nick Fury, and the Falcon.
