There is a little nod to a world that we have seen in another movie set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. During the sequence where The Ancient One sends Strange through various dimensions and realities, at one point he is seen in what appears to be the Quantum Realm. The Quantum Realm was of course seen in Ant-Man a year before this movie’s release, and was also seen in more depth during the sequel in 2018, Ant-Man and the Wasp.
